| HELP...I CAN'T LOSE MY MOM!! | Views: 129 |
My mom got diagnosed with stage 3 stomach cancer (adnocarcenoma) on christmas eve 2007. They removed a tumor that was 9cm. She went through 4 months of chemo and then started vomiting constantly (all day everyday). She went back into the hospital and found out it had spread to her small intestines but not in any major organ or lymph nodes. Now she can only eat broth because she has a tube coming out of her stomach to help with the vomitin(which she still does). She doesn’t talk anymore..she just sits there staring away and wasting away. PLEASE someone help with any suggestions for me cuz I can’t lose my mom like this.

Hi Stacey. Welcome to the family. The only can send Love and Support, I really don’t know much about this kind of Cancer. I am sure there are people here that can help you .
:) Sherri
So sorry to hear about this. I don’t have any direct answers for you other than to say you hang in there. Read to your mother if she would like. Try to keep a sunny disposition. I am a firm believer in happy thoughts equal happy outcomes. Keep blogging…maybe someone here will have some help. I will keep you both in my prayers. Kim
Hi, Stacey: I’m sorry your mom (and you) are having to endure this type of cancer. I know it’s so difficult and very unfair. I agree that reading to your mom would be a good idea and what about music? You could get a CD of her favorite songs (like from her high school days) and let her listen to them. She might enjoy that during the times you are away.
Take care of yourself, too. Your mom will feel better seeing that you are not letting her cancer get the best of you.
Keep in touch with all of us. I’ll be thinking about you and your mom and family.
